I wish such a tremendous resource like this had existed when I went through the MBA admissions process. I read the reviews before buying and saw that the book was a 'roadmap' for navigating the transition from the military to business school. As a transitioning Army officer and soon to be Darden MBA candidate, I thought it would be interesting to hear another servicemember's perspective on the transition.What's Next is more than a road map for the admissions process, it is a CONOP for each of the phase of your transition, and relevant at different times for different phases. It provides actionable advice, with tools and frameworks to help shape your decision making when deciding which schools to apply to and why; where to recruit, why, and how to break down your time while doing it.I would strongly recommend What's Next to any transitioning officer considering or pursuing an MBA. The book is a must read.

Matt knocked it out of the park with this one. I wish this resource was available when I was applying to business school as it is the only veteran specific resource that has all of the necessary information consolidated in a single easy to digest format. This is definitely a book I will recommend to any veteran looking to transition out and who is thinking about business school. Looking forward to what Matt comes up with next.
If there was an investment that generates more ROI for a transition from the military to business school...this would be akin to buying Netflix stock on its IPO x10. It is easy to get misled amongst a frenzy of "consultants" pretending to know what is best for your transition into an MBA program. But if there's one place to start, it's this book. Insightful, data-driven, personable, and IN-DEPTH (there is even an NPV analysis of evaluating an MBA which if you don't know what NPV is already, you will if you plan on an MBA); this book covers everything you need to know about getting from boot to suit.
What an amazing book that perfectly spells out how to transition from the military, into a great MBA program. Matt expertly captures all of the important advice that one would need to navigate the process of applying to an MBA program. I recently left the military and I am in my first year at NYU Stern, and I wish I had this book during the application process! Highly recommend this to anyone and everyone! Great job, Matt!
