Not sure if some of the features aren't here yet or what, but just got my Echo Show 2nd Gen for Christmas & downloaded this eBook. One of the first things mentioned was Voice Training. This isn't in my navigation panel. Later it talks about the built in web browser. "Alexa, open Google Chrome." Echo tells me I need the skill. It doesn't come up in a search for the skill. I'm sure there are other examples, but I closed out the eBook after this. Echo & app all up to date. Frustrating!

Does not provide details regarding the process of setting up contacts and how to tie into existing data. Needs more clarification regarding the nature of the Alexa App especially for Fire 7. What does a contact need to have and do to be eligible for drip in?

I think echo show 2 lack a movies play list or other feature play list is bother , because sometimes you live with other allways talking with echo is annoy .

This was more comprehensive then I desired. I just wanted the nuts and bolts of setting up two speakers, and bass, and didn't want to pursue it further, and I didn't see an explanation for this, we finally just hit and missed it over the phone. Although, if you are doing a whole house with various products, this may be for you. Amazon could do a lot more documentation for first time buyers. They are negligent in this area.

I read this book cover to cover. It was an easy read and full of good information. I signed up for online updates and look forward to learning more abut these amazing products. The only thing I will suggest for future editions is that the author finds a better proofreader as there were several errors.

INTRODUCTION1. YASOThe photos in this book were first run in various issues of the magazine called Yaso. Yaso is an independent publication which mainly focuses on art and culture, with a one-theme-for-one-issue policy. It was started in 1979, once closed in 1998, and restarted in 2003. The biggest reason we restarted is that we had explored issues such as dolls, dance, literature, art and general culture and criticized them, but then realized that these issues themselves have mutated.In terms of dolls, in comparison with the situation when we first made a feature of Hans Bellmer in 1980, people tend to think a great deal about symbology, rather than doll art (the translation of doll is ningyo in Japanese, but these days the English word "doll" is often used). There's a big difference between the modern doll and traditional ningyo, which used to be called hitogata ("human figure"). But they don't look that different. Observing subtle differences in how they look and big differences in their essential aspect has become the new motivation for Yaso.Aestheticism means shonen-ai (love between boys) these days in Japan. The concept of "fetish" sometimes involves "cutting, damaging or injuring your body". Lolita fashion is very popular but this symptom is not very much related to Vladimir Nabokov's Lolita. How men with "Lolicon" (Lolita complex) would feel when they look at the girls wearing Lolita fashion and how those girls would feel when they dress in Lolita fashion have no connection at all. Mindful of historical matters, Yaso is going to feature conventional values which are based on philosophical and aesthetic elements, and current phenomena with enigmatic distortion, in parallel. Disturbing... yes. Compelling... yes. I find inspiration in the twisted dolls found in this book. The dolls bring me back to images from The Brothers Quay and Hans Bellmer. These images are for adults, and the weak of stomach should avoid this book. But it your tastes extend beyond the benign, generic and downright dull, I would encourage readers to explore this book.

Since this book didn't offer a "preview" function, I had to see a copy to understand what they meant by "avant-garde Japanese doll-making," and it wasn't a pretty sight. The description of the book doesn't telegraph how gruesome these dolls are -- naked child dolls in states of mutilation, dismemberment, decay, or death -- so I understand now why there wouldn't be a "preview" available. The dolls are sexually explicit and are represented as abused (naked girl dolls with labia with rashes, for instance). Some have ripped-open abdomens and missing limbs; most show facial trauma of one kind or another.There was a sameness to the images, possibly because they are based on the same ball-jointed, hyper-realistic doll forms. This art celebrates the suffering of children, and I personally found it sadistic, but better to disfigure dolls than real children, I suppose.The description doesn't do justice to the brutality of the images. This art was not to my taste, and I will not be keeping this book.

I just scanned the last 3/4 of the book looking for useful information. Nothing of note. Save your money.

I skipped ahead to the sections on foods that help the memory; it is sectioned by what is needed by the individual reader, such as foods to help you get the sleep you need, etc. I was amazed to find that one thing, like foods or Sudoku or exercise, will not do the trick. There are several different areas in the brain that need specific kinds of help, so we must incorporate activities to work them all. It's a great book.

The information was good overall, but the presentation was very repetitive. The book could have been half the length and still gotten the same information across.

I think this is a great book, and I was pretty excited to utilize the associated app (after getting through the paywall). The app needs an update. It’s very glitchy and slow. I’m glad that I was able to get my brain score, but it’s hard to navigate without it just crashing.

There is so much information that I never thought about in this book that can certainly help not only my husband but myself as well. Love the suggestions given to improve our health.

It is 1063 during the reign of Edward the Confessor, king of England and Wales, and thirteen year old Evyn is a serf who lives near Carmarthen, Wales, with his father, a widower, on the estate of Lord Rhywallon. His mother Joan and all the little ones had died from a fever the year before. Evyn has dreamed all his life of becoming a storiawr or storyteller. His father’s brother, Uncle Morgan, returns after some eight or nine years’ absence and promptly insults the sons of the powerful neighboring Lord Gryffin who claimed to be king of Wales, at a community feast. I retaliation, they murder whom they think is Morgan and cut off Evyn’s tongue. However, they actually killed Evyn’s father. Morgan rescues the boy but sells him into slavery on the vast estates of Lady Ealdgyth, the common-law wife of Earl Harold Godwinson of Wessex, where he, now mute and unable to say his name, becomes known as Shadow. Harold’s sister was King Edward’s wife.His mistress sends Evyn to a monastery where he is taught to read and write by Lewys, a fellow Welshman. After this, he is made the personal servant, then squire, and finally foster son to Earl Harold, who later becomes the King of England, an is called “the King’s Shadow.” The two travel the countryside together, and Evyn is there for the battles of Carmarthen where Gryffin’s insurrection is destroyed, of Stamford Bridge where the combined armies of Norse King Harald Hardrada and Harold’s own brother Tostig are defeated, and of Hastings or Senlac Hill with the forces of William the Conqueror. History, of course, records that Harold, the last Saxon king of England, dies at Hastings. But what happens to Evyn, now just sixteen? Will he be killed too or will he survive? There are a few oaths, a couple of instances of drinking ale or mead, and a reference to dancing, but otherwise this is good historical fiction, reminding me a little of G. A. Henty as one reads about Evyn’s growth in self-confidence and courage while learning how to deal with both the physical and emotional effects of his injury.There are two caveats that parents may want to be aware of before choosing The King’s Shadow for their children. First, the descriptions of Evyn’s tongue being cut off and of his father and later uncle being killed, while not overly graphic, might be disturbing to younger or especially sensitive readers. Second, Harold makes a political marriage while he has another wife who had borne his children. It might be a good discussion point to compare this situation with Solomon and his many wives and concubines. It is interesting to see how “professional book reviewers” differ in their opinion of this book. Publishers Weekly calls it a “clunky debut” in which “Characterizations are wooden and oddly distant,” with “clicheed phrases” and “potentially fascinating historical details” that “are poorly integrated into the story.” However, Booklist says that it is a “finely written account” where “Evyn learns about loyalty, honor, and bravery, and he comes to realize that by chronicling the fate of his king, he has actually become a storyteller.” I tend to agree with Booklist, but it makes me wonder if these folks really know what they’re talking about.

Required reading turned out to be the best book of the year!

My son (13) found this book to be very sad and sometimes hard to read. But, overall it was a good book.

For anyone who loves history especially in the middle ages, this book is fascinating. It gives an inside view on the battle of hastings from a unique viewpoint. My advice for reading this volume is to ignore its length and simply let it whisk you away into the medieval world. You won't be disappointed.

Wonderful gem of a book. Lots of history and lots of wonderful pics of the middle Keys. Well written and researched. Anyone who loves Florida, or history, would love this book!

Neat book! Lots of pictures of Marathon in the olden days. I spend vacations here with family and there's a lot of stories never heard before. My favorite picture- the kids eating watermelon. Husband likes the railroad stuff. Nice hardcover, not cheap looking, might buy a couple more for Christmas gifts.

An exciting glimpse at the Middle Keys. Now I need the book that accompanies it.Albritton's writing and Wilkinson's life-long knowledge of the Keys makes for a great read - and a great gift.
