This book is NOT an encyclopedia of MM watches, or even a definitive account of the history of the watches. It's more like a pictorial book of one person's collection. Many key MM watches are not even mentioned, and significant periods are not covered. Also, there is notable misinformation given in the captions for some of the watches. This is a good novelty book for someone who is minimally interested in MM watches, but it is disappointing for someone who is, or wants to be, a MM watch collector.
I'm a small scale collector and this book was a delight for me. I can easily see how, for the serious collector, it would hardly be considered a definitive volume on the subject, but it was educational for me. Nicely illustrated and full of information I am enormously pleased with it, and the price I paid was very low and the book was in excellent condition.
As a collector of Mickey Mouse Pocket watches, I have nearly 1 of every pocket watch sold since the original 1933 and it has been nice to compare my collection to what is shown in the book. The history of the changes in the watches and companies that have made them has kept me from being a victim of scam artists selling fake watches. While more watches have been produced since this has been written, it is still an excellent reference for watches pre 1997.

While I did expect more of a narrative to accompany this book. It is just details on the models/makes of Mickey Mouse watches from the 1933 to the late 1980s. Color pictures add to the value and the information is accurate and well researched.
