I loved this book! My father was a prisoner of war in the same Prison Camp as the main character in this book. I fully resonated with this book, having read my father's letters to my mother during WWII. The action was authentic; and the characters real, intriguing and likeable!
I stumbled across the other 2 volumes in this trilogy and bought this so I could read all three together. It was well worth it! This is the 2nd book in the Emma trilogy and all 3 are well worth reading. Doug takes a trip through time as a missionary and has to make difficult decisions and exercise incredible faith just to make it long enough to have a chance at getting back home to finish his mission and see his family again.Doug's Dilemma was very quick to read, mainly because I didn't want to put it down. The story was easy to get caught up in after having just read An Errand for Emma. This book is worth reading and I really loved the whole trilogy. I will be looking to read more books by Chad Daybell.
