English on the left, transliteration in the middle, and Arabic on the right. It has an introduction in the beginning with context and historical events as well. I'm putting four stars though because honestly, the binding's not the best I've seen. There are pages that are crooked or creased by the way it was bound. But it's readable and sufficient, and the rarity of the transliteration makes it valuable to me (learning Arabic).

This book “The Holy Quran- Transliteration in Roman Script with Arabic Text and English Translation (New)” was purchased after a review of internet sources for best “English” translation of Koran. The reason being, as the authors of this great “source” work on page iv state that understanding the Koran “can be an easy task for those favored with guidance from Allah, especially those blessed by an understanding of Arabic, the language of divine communication. But for those not acquainted with Arabic, their ignorance is a barrier between them and this source of guidance and illumination.” Furthermore, continuing on page iv- in reference to the Koran the authors assert the Korans “contents are not confined to a particular theme or style, but contain the foundations for an entire system of life….which range from specific articles of faith and commandments to general moral teachings, rights and obligations, crime and punishment, personal and public law, and a host of other private and social concerns.” This is in fact keeping with “The Arab Mind” by Raphael Pati, and available at Amazon.com, and should be read by those attempting to understand Arabic-Islamic culture, in addition to the actual Koran. This version of the Koran is in fact keeping Arabic style and read right to left, the text is very clear, the Suri’s are named, and place revealed to the Prophet Muhammad listed. Like, “Surat al-Jinn-72” on page 638 and “revealed at Makkah.” Or “Surat-al Infitar-82” “the Cleaving Asunder” on page 659 once again “revealed at Makkah.” The Index, starting on page 681 is very good and almost a cross reference like many of the Christian Bibles’ numerous Concordances!Like many books, this work should be read, like “The Reckoning-Iraq and the Legacy of Saddam Hussein” by Sandra Mackey, as was required by some US Military servicemen prior to deployment OIF/OEF to glean a much better understanding of the culture, customs, traditions and beliefs of the societies they are in fact being deployed into and may have to work with- as completely different than the US Judeo-Christian culture and society! Might just save a life or foster better working relationships….??? For when in the preverbal “Lion’s Den” does not one wish to know what the Lion likes and dislikes and how he thinks????For comparative religious studies, this would be a more than phenomenal work, but the issue once again comes back to Arabic, and “if one cannot fully understand this work” without a fluent grasp of Arabic, then how is it to be truly understood it, other than through by a Religious Imam of Sunni or Shia faith? Keeping that in mind, perhaps some of the works of the United States, Elijah Muhammad of the Nation of Islam might prove more than useful, such as “Our Savior Has arrived”, “The Secrets of Freemasonry” “Yakub (Jacob) The Father of Mankind,” and perhaps his seminal work “Message To a Black Man In America” all available at Amazon.com? Furthermore, there are numerous references to Christians and Jews within the Koran, and would perhaps be useful to have read the Christian Bible, the Torah, as well as something like Raphael Pati’s “The Jewish Mind,” etc.. also available at Amazon.com, along with numerous other works regarding these faiths for a complete comparison of these three religions! Then for “legal” reason’s, like the US debate about Shira Law, one should probably also read “An Explanatory Memorandum: From the Archives of the Muslim Brotherhood in America (Center for Security Policy Archival Series)” Paperback – March 8, 2013 by Mohamed Akram (Author), David Reaboi (Author), Frank J Gaffney Jr (Preface), available at Amazon.com and other works, along with this version of the Koran, to fully grasp the topics contained there-in or glean some informative understating of the possible issues of Shira Law in the US! For instance, the US Legal system is largely based off English “common law” and foundations in the Judeo-Christian vein. Shira Law is solely based off Koranic teachings and other Islamic works and varies between Sunni-Shia, country, world region, Islamic community, etc…. This work could help illuminate some of these differences. This is a very good, scholarly work on the Koran, the basic foundation of an entire way of life for a significant portion of the worlds population, and should be read, or at least perused, by those in US considering any “interaction” with the worlds “Ummah” as defined by authors on page X- “Literally, a nation but is usually applied to the Muslim Brotherhood!”

I ordered this as a new sister because it was highly recommended for being easy to read. Someone got a green cover, I have Burgundy and they advertise blue. The pages are wrinkled as if the printer was too hot or got wet.

I have nothing negative to say.I'm extremely happy with the purchase and the Quran is beautiful! However, it is not blue like the photo shows. It's a forest green kind of color.

This is exactly what I was hoping for - a full transliteration of the Holy Qur'an, with parallel Arabic text. It also contains, as a bonus, an English translation as well. The three texts, English, transliterated Arabic, and the Qur'an itself, are presented in three columns on each page. That makes it quite a decent size book. It is also nicely presented, although the quality of the paper could be improved slightly.

Very high quality purchase. Very pleased. I bought this to help me learn Arabic, and while I still don't know arabic, the English translation, transliteration, and arabic text are great for the cross comparison.

Perfect gift for My husband- He really enjoys reading this book!!

great version of the Qur'an im happy with this book, it explains it self very well without confusion and i love the fact it reads like a true Arabic book from right to left, plus i love the color of the cover and its illustrations. thank you!
